| dc.description | The Free State Province boasts a number of nature reserves and resorts. Some are owned by the provincial government and others by the various municipalities. The Department of Economic, Small Business Development, Tourism and Environmental Affairs (DESTEA) is the custodian of the provincial reserves and resorts. These resorts and reserves play an important role in so far as tourism activities in the Free State Province are concerned; whether in the form of hiking trail, game drive, viewing wildlife or accommodation through chalets and camping. | en_US |
