Abstract:
[The performance of the mining industry for South Africa and
Free State has, in recent years, been influenced by labour
market disruptions; rising input costs to mining; electricity
crisis in South Africa; China’s slow demand for commodities,
which has resulted in lower commodities prices; and interest
rate expectations in relation to investment.
