Abstract:
Investments in the renewable energy sector can bring about
significant changes in the economy of the Free State. Focus of
this report therefore will be on the support structures for
renewable energy generation, challenges, interventions and
opportunities within the sector. It further outlines certain
recommendations and opportunities in the various
renewable energy fields, i.e. solar, bio-fuel, wind energy,
hydropower and waste to energy.
